A couple of weeks ago, Parker and I made the trip to Abilene for Homecoming weekend. It was the first time I’ve ever made the drive by myself with Parker and he was a champ. Seriously…taking him on his first road trip at 8 weeks old helped turn this kid into a true Ellison Road Warrior!
It was a great weekend, full of lots of fun activities and seeing lots of good friends.
Watching the parade Saturday morning
Helping Chief direct traffic after the parade!
These two…I can’t get enough. He loves his Chief so much! He was so excited to wear a “Police” vest & help the officers move barricades.
He went to the Homecoming game with Christopher & Chief (while the girls shopped!) and he had a blast! Made it through the whole game, too!
He loves his uncle Christopher!
We had such a fun weekend and have definitely decided that this will be an annual event! Can’t wait for next year!
Matt sent me this picture the other morning as they were driving to work & school. Parker decided to grab a flashlight so he could read books (in the dark) on the way to school! Sweet angel boy!
Last weekend we met my parents at the ranch for a last minute early hunting weekend, and these three were SO excited to see each other. We left Friday afternoon after school and had a great weekend! We drove through some horrible rain from San Antonio to Kerrville and met my parents for a quick supper and a few forgotten groceries in the little town near the ranch. We spent most of the weekend riding around the ranch, checking the game cameras at the feeders, looking for deer, and just relaxing. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend and we can’t wait to do it again sometime soon!
Other than that, we’ve just been living life as normal…lots of school and work. We’re headed to the pumpkin patch this weekend to pick out pumpkins (SOO looking forward to that cooler weather!) and next weekend Parker and I are headed to Abilene for the weekend to enjoy some of the Homecoming festivities and spending a long weekend with my parents.
